Speech Night etc 23rd September 2005

Hi you complete gems

Redone for September 23rd 2005 as first one seem to have got lost although some saw it. As you know frustration at this kind of thing is one of my achilles heals although you all know I am perfect in EVERY OTHER RESPECT!!

This has been a brilliant week and I have done loads. Job fair, discovered Lincoln in Fields, prayer meetings, lunch out, coffee!, Handel concert, Speech Night and I have 2 conferences in the next 2 days one in St Albans and one in London tomorrow. At Speech Night it simply confirmed loud and clear that I have made the right decision. Yes it was nice to catch up with some people and it was superb to see the 6th formers who are wonderful. It makes me wonder if I should be working with 6th formers in some form of mentoring but not sure. I have made enquiries about teaching English in Burma, OMF for Short term working alongside people and Christians abroad. Still very unclear about next step but enjoying life so much.

I also had lunch with someone I only met on the Remember. Day march last November. We have only known each other for about 3 hours prior to this but I felt it went great ( goodness knows what she thought!!) and I know we will keep in touch. She and her family live in Ealing. I am off to a conference soon in St Albans soon so must finish. I was there last week for a Handel concert and Dixit Dominus was great.
